"She was actually text messaging my husband right in front of me..."
It has been almost one year since I discovered my husband's infidelity. He is in law enforcement and had a brief affair with a female co-worker. After their affair was disclosed, it was discovered that the same woman had also had affairs with three other co-workers. She had befriended me and had invited me to go shopping; out to eat, and even asked me if my husband and I would like to join her and her husband on a cruise. She was actually text messaging my husband right in front of me. Not only my husband betrayed me; someone whom I thought was my friend also betrayed me. After 6 months of separation, I decided to give him a second chance. I struggle with the memories, the pain, and the anger every day. To make things worse, his mother made excuses for him and blamed me. She said that he was under too much stress having to come home and help with household chores (she believes that's a woman's job). My world has been completely turned upside down. It's difficult to see how we can ever leave this all behind us.
